The first specimen was lot 1943 in Classical Numismatic Group's auction of the Lissner collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $302.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO, Estados Unidos Mexicanos. 1905-pres. AR 20 Centavos. Ciudad de México (Mexico City) mint. Dated 1905 M. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 67. Gem lustrous uncirculated with beautiful satiny surfaces. Finest ever graded specimen and really rare this choice." This specimen is a better date of a series struck 1905-14 at the Mexico City mint. The last branch mints, Zacatecas and Culiacan, were closed in 1905 and all official Mexican coinage since has borne the Mexico City mintmark ("M" or "Mo"). This type replaced the silver twenty centavos struck 1898-1905.

Recorded mintage: 2,565,000.

Specification: 5 g, 0.800 fine silver, 22 mm diameter, reeded edge, this specimen Ø22 mm, 4.98 g, 6h axis.
