The first specimen was lot 70255 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2020), where it sold for $45. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Centavos, 1905-Mo M. Shown is an 1905-MoM five centavos, of a type struck at the Mexico City mint 1898-1905. This issue is common, even in nice condition. It features the redesigned eagle introduced on all the silver denominations in 1898. Other mints include Culiacan, Guanajuato and Zacatecas; the other branch mints having closed.

Specification: 1.35 g, 0.903 fine silver, .039 troy oz ASW.

Recorded mintage: 344,000.

Catalog reference: KM-400.2.
