Mexico 1906-M 20 centavos

This specimen is a common date of a series struck 1905-14 at the Mexico City mint. The last branch mints, Zacatecas and Culiacan, were closed in 1905 and all official Mexican coinage since has borne the Mexico City mintmark ("M" or "Mo"). This type replaced the silver twenty centavos struck 1898-1905.

Recorded mintage: 6,860,000, the most common date.

Specification: 5 g, 0.800 fine silver, 22 mm diameter, reeded edge.
