Shown is an 1897CnM balance scale five centavos, of a type struck 1869-1897. This issue from Culiacan is common. Other mints include Hermosillo, Mexico City, Durango, Zacatecas, Chihuahua, Guanajuato, Guadalajara, Oaxaca, Alamos and Potosi. The Culiacan mint closed in 1905.
Specification: 1.35 g, 0.903 fine silver, .039 troy oz ASW.
