This specimen was lot 71274 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Centavos, 1896-Cn M. Culiacan Mint. NGC MS-65. Tied for finest graded by NGC. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." This is a common date from the Culiacan mint, which struck this silver ten centavos 1871-73, 1881-82, 1885-96. Assayer M operated 1885-98. Culiacan also struck the ten centavos with the redesigned eagle 1898-1905.
Recorded mintage: 121,000, the most common date.
Specification: 2.70 g, 0.903 fine silver, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge.
