Mexico 1884-Do C 10 centavos

from the Stack's Bowers sale of the Kirk Menczer Collection, lot 71281

This specimen was lot 71281 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $264. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Centavos, 1884-Do C. Durango Mint. NGC EF-45. Second finest of three coins graded by NGC. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." The Durango mint struck this silver ten centavos 1878, 1880, 1884, 1886-95 and this is a scarce date. The 1878-D^O, 1880-D^O and 1886-D^O are rare.

Specification: 2.70 g, 0.903 fine silver, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge.
