Charles III. NGC VG Details--Chopmarked, Graffiti. Assayer 'FM' is EXCEPTIONALLY RARE for this date, and certainly stands among the rarest portrait 8 Reales issues in the entire Mexican series. This example saw extensive use in circulation, with well-worn details and numerous tiny chopmarks indicating time spent overseas. However, both the date and assayer are unmistakably clear, ensuring its place as a highly desirable rarity. While eight reales of Charles III are not rare, this particular date is very rare.
