This specimen was lot 29818 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $3,055. The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles III 8 Reales 1783 NG-P XF40 NGC, Nueva Guatemala mint. A premium coin for the designation showing handsome old toning, only limited wear and considerable detail remaining. One of the key dates of this scarce bust type, with less than 15 confirmed examples by the cataloger, including two holed specimens (including Calbeto's plate coin!) From The Santa Maria Collection."
