This specimen was lot 4334 in Sincona sale 95 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 160 CHF (about US$222 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Luzern, Stadt und Kanton, Halbbatzen 1796, Luzern. Vorzüglich. Exemplar der Slg. Kunzmann, Auktion SINCONA 53, Zürich, Oktober 2018, aus Los 6475. (Switzerland, canton of Luzern, half batzen of 1796, Luzern mint. Extremely Fine.)"
This type was struck 1795-96, with the 1796 being more common. In 1798, the French revolutionary army occupied Luzern and the rest of Switzerland.
