This specimen was lot 21224 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Las Vegas, August 2020), where it sold for $1,080. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Lippe-Detmold. 1/4 Taler Klippe, 1713-B. Friedrich Adolf. PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield. An interesting striking issued for the 46th birthday of Friedrich Adolf, this incredible near Gem--the only example of the type in the PCGS census--features charming russet-gray surfaces and some pleasing underlying luster. A stunning representation of a rather seldom seen type. Ex: Triton X (January 2007) Lot # 935." This rare commemorative also comes without the "B".
