This specimen was lot 71377 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Kent. Dover. Copper 1/2 Penny Token, 1794. NGC MS-63 Brown. Obverse: Bust of William Pitt the Younger right; Reverse: Arms of Dover; Edge: 'PAYABLE IN LANCASTER'. Displaying an overall deep brown, lighted by some brilliance and electric blue toning, this Choice token stands as a wonderful example for the committed specialist in Conder tokens."
