This specimen was lot 1231 in Goldberg sale 116 (Los Angeles, June 2020), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "Israel. 10 New Sheqalim, 1997. First Zionist Congress Centennial. Portrait of Herzl. Choice Brilliant Proof." This NCLT was accompanied by a two new sheqalim (KM 301), a silver new sheqel (KM 300) and a half sheqel (KM 394).
Recorded mintage: 1,642 proofs, Pretoria mint.
Specification: 16.96 g, 0.917 fine gold, 0.500 troy oz AGW, 30 mm diameter.
