Goldberg sale 116, lot 1223

This specimen was lot 1223 in Goldberg sale 116 (Los Angeles, June 2020), where it sold for $900. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Israel. 10 New Sheqalim, 1996. Jerusalem's third millennium. Inscription. Choice Brilliant Proof." This NCLT was accompanied by a thirty new sheqalim (KM 286), a silver new sheqel (KM 284) and a half sheqel (KM 393).

Recorded mintage: 1,624 proofs, Pretoria mint.

Specification: 16.96 g, 0.917 fine gold, 0.500 troy oz AGW, 30 mm diameter.
