Goldberg sale 116, lot 1224

This specimen was lot 1224 in Goldberg sale 116 (Los Angeles, June 2020), where it sold for $440. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Israel. 5 New Sheqalim, 1996. Nightingale and fig tree. Choice Brilliant Proof." This NCLT was accompanied by a two new sheqalim (KM 292), a silver new sheqel (KM 290) and a gold sheqel (KM 291).

Recorded mintage: 805 proofs, Vantaa mint.

Specification: 8.64 g, 0.900 fine gold, 0.250 troy oz AGW, 22 mm diameter.
