Iran AH 1301 2000 dinars
The first specimen was lot 4148 in Sincona sale 67 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 225 CHF (about US$296 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"IRAN | Qajar Dynasty | Nâsir al-dîn Shâh, 1264-1313 H./1848-1896 AD, Machine struck coinage, always with the mint name Tihrân, gold coins and patterns for gold coins. 1/5 Toman 1301 H. Extremely fine."
The second specimen was lot 3314 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[2] noted, "IRAN: Nasir al-Din Shah, 1848-1896, AV 2000 dinars (Tehran), AH1301, crudely struck, as is normal for this year, as the minting machinery had not been properly maintained, EF, R, ex Dabestani Collection." This gold coin was struck AH 1297-1301 and was worth one-fifth toman. With the coming of the milled coinage, all of the branch mints were closed and all production was completed in Tehran.
