This specimen was lot 1336 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $333.20. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN: Nasir al-Din Shah, 1848-1896, AV toman, Tehran, AH1304, date divided, with "13" left and "04" right of the portrait, rare date in this form, removed from bezel or something similar, choice EF, R, ex Dabestani Collection." This type was struck AH 1297-1313 plus various bungled dates and is not rare.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 2.87 g, 0.900 fine gold, 19 mm diameter, 0.0832 troy oz AGW.
