This specimen was lot 75222 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDONESIA. 200 Rupiah, 1970. NGC PROOF-68 Ultra Cameo. Commemorating the 25th anniversary of independence and displaying a bird of paradise. A lovely specimen that approaches perfection, this glorious modern proof yields impressive strike and limited evidence of handling throughout. A stunning piece for the specialist in modern commemoratives." This NCLT is one of an extensive series of commemoratives issued in 1970. The obverse features a Great Bird of Paradise. Some Indonesian commemorative issues are so rare the SCWC lacks a photo of them. In 1982, US$1 = 650 rupiah; today (November 2022) US$1 = 15,654 rupiah.
