This specimen was lot 2928 in Stephen Album sale 37 (Santa Rosa, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $178.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: George VI, 1936-1947, AR rupee, 1938 (b), without dot variety, Unc." This type was struck 1938-39 at Bombay, with and without dot, which the SCWC values the same.

Recorded mintage: 7,352,000 (all varieties).

Specification: 11.66 g, 0.917 fine silver.
