This specimen was lot 2435 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it sold for $94. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: George V, 1910-1936, AE 1/12 anna, 1914(c). NGC graded MS66 RD." This twelfth anna was struck at the Calcutta mint before World War One. The type was struck 1912-36 and is common in all grades but still makes a handsome coin in nice condition. The Bombay mint also struck this type but only in 1924-28 and 1936. A twelfth anna was 1/192 of a rupee.
Recorded mintage: 19,814,000 plus proofs.
