Hannover 1803-GFM 2/3 thaler KM-413
This specimen was lot 73294 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg-Hannover. 2/3 Taler, 1803-GFM. Clausthal Mint. Georg III (George III of Great Britain). PCGS MS-62. Refreshingly original surfaces radiate with natural brilliance when spun under a light source. The fields betray very few marks or blemishes, and they are blast white aside for a slight amber tinge. An odd denomination that is seldom available on the market. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1801-05 along with KM 422, which shows the Garter around the arms.
