This specimen was lot 3984 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €2,000 (about US$2,624 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG-LÜNEBURG-CALENBERG-HANNOVER, Georg II. 1727-1760. 1/2 Dukat 1730, Clausthal. GOLD. RR Winz. Randfehler, sehr schön. (Germany, electorate of Hannover, George II, 1737-60, half ducat of 1730, Clausthal mint. Very rare, minor edge defects, very fine.)"
This type was struck 1730, 1734 and 1737 and is the last half ducat from this state. A similar ducat (KM 236) exists.
