This specimen was lot 5224 in Sincona sale 35 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$297 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Glarus | Kanton, 3 Schillinge 1808. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (canton of Glarus, three schillinge of 1808, Very fine-extremely fine.)"
This billon piece was struck 1808 and 1812 and is scarce to rare. Three schilling = nine batzen and 100 batzen = one frank. The denomination was struck 1806-14 with all dates being scarce.
