This specimen was lot 2521 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $90. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANKFURT AM MAIN: Free City, AR kreuzer, 1853, a superb lustrous example! PCGS graded MS65." This tiny billon coin was struck 1838, 1841-57. One convention thaler was 120 kreuzer.
Recorded mintage: 526,000.
