This specimen was lot 22577 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Frankfurt. 2 Gulden, 1852. PCGS MS-64 Secure Holder. Extremely frosty in the fields with clean obverse surfaces for the assigned grade. From a small mintage of only 25,630 pieces and rather SCARCE as a result." This type was struck 1845-56 and is expensive in nice condition tho this specimen realized only half its catalog value.
