This specimen was lot 33909 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "France: Louis XV Ecu 1716-& AU50 NGC, Aix-en-Provence mint. Ecu Vertugadin type. A silky Almost Uncirculated example, handsomely toned a deep gray." This is an écu vertugadin of the Aix mint, struck while Louis XV was a minor.
