This specimen was lot 70642 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. 5 Pounds, AH 1412/1992. PCGS MS-67. Summer Olympic series, Field Hockey. A RARE issue in Mint State, this piece displays with satin like surfaces with full cartwheel effect." The regime emitted numerous silver five pounds in 1992, including KM 701, 702, 703, 704, 705, 706, 707 (shown here), 708 and 806.

Recorded mintage: 999 plus 8,000 proofs.

Specification: 17.5 g, 0.720 fine silver.
