This specimen was lot 1287 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT: Arab Republic, AR 5 pounds, 1992/AH1412, Olympics-Pair Wrestling, an extraordinary example, PCGS graded MS69." For the 1992 Olympic Games, the regime issued an extensive series of NCLT's in silver (shown here) and gold (50 and 100 pounds). The uncirculated strikes are valued higher than the proofs.

Recorded mintage: 999 plus 2,999 proofs.
