This specimen was lot 43113 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $1,620. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. Gold 1/2 Pound, AH 1413/1992. Cairo Mint. PCGS MS-66. A pleasing and SCARCE Gold 1/2 Pound, with bright luster and vivid details well applied. Impressive and unusual and certain to be a hit with any focused collectors of the series." Abbas Al-Aqqad (1889-1964) was an Egyptian journalist, poet and literary critic, and member of the Academy of the Arabic Language in Cairo.

Recorded mintage: 600 struck, 228 sold.
