This specimen was lot 31399 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $6,600. The catalog description[1] noted, "Egypt. United Arab Republic gold 100 Pounds AH 1412 (1992) MS69 NGC. Struck to commemorate football (soccer) at the summer Olympics in Barcelona. A virtually flawless example exhibiting mirrored fields with somewhat matte devices. Quite attractive and sure to appeal to bidders wanting to add this rarity to their collections." This is one of eight gold NCLT's issued for the 1992 Summer Olympics. All were minted in trifling amounts and are today rare.

Specification: 17 g, 0.900 fine gold.
