This specimen was lot 31404 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $2,160. The catalog description[1] noted, "Egypt. United Arab Republic gold 100 Pounds AH 1412 (1992) MS67 NGC. Struck to commemorate handball at the summer Olympics in Barcelona. A high grade example with a barely noticeable hairline on the obverse." This is one of eight gold NCLT's issued for the 1992 Summer Olympics. All were minted in trifling amounts and are today rare.

Recorded mintage: 49 + 99 proofs.

Specification: 17 g, 0.900 fine gold.
