This specimen was lot 2297 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 700 CHF (about US$937 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Arabische Republik, seit 1971. 1 Pound 1981 / 1402 H., 100 Jahre Revolte durch Arabi Pascha. Nur 3'000 Exemplare geprägt (Only 3,000 pieces struck). NGC MS67." This is one of several different gold pound NCLT's issued in 1981. It was accompanied by a gold five pounds (Fr-152) and a silver one pound.
