Sincona sale 18, lot 1210

This specimen was lot 1210 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 160 (about US$211 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"4 Mark 1682. Kopenhagen. Sehr schön. (Denmark, four mark of 1682, Copenhagen mint, very fine.)"

This type is noted for 1681-82. In 1693, the krone was reduced to 17.98 g, 0.833 fine, but the net silver was the same.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 22.27 g, 0.671 fine silver, this specimen 22.03 g.
