Denmark 1652 krone Dav-3567
This specimen was lot 10207 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €660 (about US$688). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Krone, 1652. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik III. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale-1922). Ex: Alfred Benzon Collection." One krone was four mark or two-thirds of a speciedaler. This appears to be the last krone struck with a bust obverse. This variety has the reverse legend abbreviated "DOMIN9:PROVID:".
