This specimen was lot 10203 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €780 (about US$813). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Krone, 1651. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik III. NGC EF Details--Cleaned. Rare type with the reverse legend under the crown reading from left to right. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Johan G. Guildal Collection (Private Sale-1918)." One krone was four mark or two-thirds of a speciedaler. This appears to be the last krone struck with a bust obverse. This rare variety has "DOMINUS PROVIDEBIT" left to right; the more common variety (Dav-3567) has "DOMINUS PROVIDEBIT" right to left.

Specification: 18.91 g, 0.859 fine silver, 39-40 mm diameter, this specimen 16.75 g.
