The first specimen was lot 1111 in Sincona sale 66 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$158 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DENMARK | misc. Christian IV. 1588-1648. Skilling 1620, Kopenhagen. Münzzeichen Vogel. Vorzüglich. (kingdom of Denmark, Christian IV, 1588-1648, skilling of 1620, Copenhagen mint, bird mintmark. Extremely fine.)"
The second specimen was lot 10125 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €312 (about US$325). The catalog description[2] noted, "DENMARK. Skilling, 1620. Copenhagen Mint. NGC MS-61. Excellent condition of this small nominal. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." The third specimen was lot 10129 in the same sale, where it sold for €480 (about US$500). The catalog description[2] noted, "DENMARK. Skilling, 1620. Christian IV. NGC MS-62. From the L. E. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale - 1922)." This type was struck 1619-23, before Denmark's disastrous foray into the Thirty Years War. Three mintmarks are recorded for this date; the bird shown here, a trefoil and a bird's wing. During this period, the skilling was devalued from 1/96 speciedaler to 1/144 speciedaler; we don't know if this issue was affected.
