The second specimen was lot 30422 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $8,100. The catalog description[1] noted, "Cuba, Republic platinum Proof "40th Anniversary" 500 Pesos 1993 PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC, KM 605var. Almost perfect, a rare and seldom offered type. The last we handled, graded PR67 UC, realized $6,250 hammer in our January 2016 sale. From the El Don Diego Luna Collection." The year 1993 saw the release of many NCLT's by the regime. Recorded mintage: unknown but all proofs.

Specification: 155.55 g, 0.999 fine platinum, 5 troy oz APW.

Catalog reference: KM 605, Fr-unlisted.
