This specimen was lot 55522 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 1/4 Taler, 1716-HH. Zellerfeld Mint. August Wilhelm. Very Fine Details -- Scratched. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection. Ex. Dr. Busso Peus Nachfolger Auction 343, Lot 1496." This type was struck 1715-21 and is not common. Mintmaster HH appears 1711-19.
