This specimen was lot 41284 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 24 Mariengroschen, 1705. Zellerfeld Mint; mm: three stars. Anton Ulrich. PCGS AU-58. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1705-14 and is fairly common. Twenty-four mariengroschen made two thirds of a thaler or one gulden. No mintmaster appears on this coin. Another 24 mariengroschen was struck 1694-1705 featuring the leaping stallion (KM 615).
