Künker sale 386, part of lot 5054

This specimen was part of lot 5054 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), which sold for €320 (about US$414 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, FÜRSTENTUM, Anton Ulrich, 1704-1714. 2/3 Taler 1706, Braunschweig. Dazu: August Wilhelm, 1714-1731. 24 Mariengroschen 1715, Zellerfeld. 2 Stück., Kl. Schrötlingsfehler am Rand (1x), sehr schön-vorzüglich und vorzüglich. (duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Anton Ulrich, 1704-14, two-thirds thaler of 1706, Brunswick mint. Included is a 24 mariengroschen of 1715. Two pieces, one has an edge defect, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This gulden was struck 1700 and 1704-11 and has a slightly above average catalog value.
