Sincona sale 43, lot 3182

This specimen was lot 3182 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it sold for 3,600 CHF (aboout US$4,296 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, Herzogtum, Anton Ulrich 1704-1714 2 Dukaten 1707. Braunschweig. Von grösster Seltenheit. Sehr schön. Henkel- und Tragespuren. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Anton Ulrich, 1704-14, double ducat of 1707, Brunswick mint. Of the highest rarity, Very fine, Mount mark and traces of wear.)"

This one year type is rare as are most of the gold issues from this locality
