This specimen was lot 74473 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 6 Mariengroschen (1/6 Taler), 1673. Zellerfeld Mint. Rudolph August. PCGS AU-53. Variety with the '6' at the left of the Wild Man. A delightful minor - evenly and strongly struck with no weak areas or flan issues, and exhibiting only the light wear commensurate with the grade. A very attractive piece. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1668-84.
