This specimen was part of lot 42883 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), which sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Bra[n]denburg. Pair of Fractional Talers, 1673 & 1690. NGC MS-63 & PCGS AU-58. 2 pieces in lot. Included is ...a 1690 2/3 Taler, PCGS AU-58. From the Collection of Dr. James Eustace Bizzell, II." This type was struck 1689-95 at the Berlin mint. Other two-thirds thalers or gulden for 1690 include KM 557, KM 558, KM 560.
