This specimen was lot 71303 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA. 1/2 Real, 1790-PTS PR. Potosi Mint. Charles IV. PCGS MS-61. This 1/2 Real is well-struck and stunningly original. The portrait and crowned arms are impressively detailed, especially rendered at this liliputian scale. The surfaces are quite clean, with only a few small hits in the fields as expected from this grade. Deep toning with smoky grays, burnt orange, and flashes of iridescent blue give the piece added visual interest. From the Pat Johnson Collection." This type was struck 1789-91 in the name of Charles IV but with the bust of the deceased Charles III. Charles IV's proper bust was introduced in 1792.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.69 g, 0.896 fine silver.
