Potosi Mint; Assayer Luis de Quintanilla (q). Ferdinand VI. PCGS EF-45. A SCARCE date for this assayer. Overall an attractive and quite individual 4 Reales piece. From the Pat Johnson Collection." This type was struck for Ferdinand VI through his entire reign. Assayer "q" stamped coins 1744-60. Assayer "E" is listed for 1750-51 along with assayer "q". The silver cobs were debased from 0.931 fine to 0.917 fine in 1728.
