Künker Auction 441, lot 4905

This specimen was lot 4905 in Künker sale 441 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €1,600 (about US$2,201 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Leopold II., 1790-1792. 1/2 Konv.-Taler 1792 A, Wien. RR Feine Tönung, sehr schön-vorzüglich/vorzüglich. Aus der Sammlung Kommerzialrat Dr. Herbert Wenzel, Wien. (Holy Roman Empire, half convention thaler of 1792, Vienna mint. Very rare, fine toning, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1790 and 1792.
