Sincona sale 90, lot 1607

This specimen was lot 1607 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 2,700 CHF (about US$3,568 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Maria Theresia, 1740-1780. Dukat 1771, Wien. Gutes vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Maria Theresia, 1740-80, ducat of 1771, Vienna mint. Good extremely fine.)"

This type was struck at Vienna 1765-80 along with ducats for her son, Joseph II. Here, the empress is depicted with a veil.
