This specimen was lot 4873 in Künker sale 441 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €5,500 (about US$7,566 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Franz I., 1745-1765. Konv.-Taler 1761 KB, Kremnitz. Prachtexemplar mit feiner Patina. Fast Stempelglanz. Aus der Sammlung Jürgen und Erika Schmidt, Bovenden. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 228, Osnabrück 2013, Nr. 3797. (Holy Roman Empire, Francis I, 1745-65, convention thaler of 1761, Kremnitz mint. Choice example with fine patina, about uncirculated.)"

This design was intended to be the standard thaler struck throughout the Hapsburg domains during the reign of emperor Franz I, husband of Maria Theresia. This type was struck 1751-65 at Kremnitz (mintmark KB, shown here), Prague (Dav-1159, mintmark PR), Karlsburg (mintmark CA), Vienna (Dav-1153, mintmark WI) and Hall (Dav-1155, mintmark HA). The weight was adjusted in 1751 from the reichsthaler to the convention standard (28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver).
