Stack's Bowers 2023 ANA sale, lot 53641

This specimen was lot 53641 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Holy Roman Empire. Taler, 1757. Hall Mint. Maria Theresa. NGC AU Details--Obverse Scratched. From the Augustana Collection." This convention thaler (28.06 g) was struck 1751-65, at Hall concurrent with a convention thaler of Francis I (Dav-1155) and a reichs thaler (28.82 g) of Maria Theresia (Dav-1120).
