Sincona sale 39, lot 3864

This specimen was lot 3862 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 850 CHF (about US$1,019 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Ferdinand II. 1618-1637 Doppeltaler 1631. Graz. Sehr schön. Rand bearbeitet und kleine Kratzer. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand II, 1618-37, double thaler of 1631, Graz mint. Very fine. Rim tooled and small scratches.)"

This rare double thaler is accompanied by a triple thaler (Dav-3109).
