Künker sale 423, lot 163

This specimen was lot 163 in Künker Auction 423 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €360 (about US$510 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HABSBURGISCHE ERBLANDE-ÖSTERREICH · RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Joseph I., 1705-1711. 1 Kreuzer o. J., Hall. Geharnischtes Brustbild r. mit Lorbeerkranz, umgelegtem Mantel und der Kette des Ordens vom Goldenen Vlies//Der Tiroler Adler in Wappenschild auf Doppelkreuz, unten die Wertzahl I. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. Exemplar der Auktion H. D. Rauch 14, Wien 1985, Nr. 3895. (Holy Roman Empire, Joseph I, 1705-11, undated kreuzer, Hall mint. Obverse: armored, mantled and laureate bust with Order chain; reverse: arms with Tyrolean eagle on a double cross, value below. Extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This seems to be the only issue of this denomination from Hall during the reign of Joseph II. One thaler was ninety kreuzer.
